Things to remember:
4. To find out if school is cancelled due to inclement weather, you have to look for our school’s name, “Highlander Charter School” on the cancellation/delay list. We are our own district and do not fall under Providence.
Policy & Expectations Reminders:
Homework Policy: Any missing assignment during a given week will be made up over the weekend and due the following Monday. If the work is not completed, the student will stay after school for homework detention during After School hours from 3-5 PM.
Tardiness Policy: Students should arrive between 8:00-8:25 am. If your childr arrives after 8:30 am, s/he s considered tardy. 3 tardies = 1 detention, served Thursdays from 3-5 PM.

Homework is assigned EVERY night. You are also responsible for signing the planner after your child has read his/her 30 minutes and studied 10 minutes of flash cards each night. Please check your child's homework planner for assignments.
If anything comes up and your child is unable to complete his/her homework, you may write an excuse note in the planner.
