I assign homework nightly and don't use a sheet that gives the homework for the week, which is what Ms. Quiles does.  Keep an eye on any “Pink Slips” (which are currently on white paper) which means that your child did not complete an assignment.  ASK FOR PROGRESS REPORTS EVERY WEEKEND AND PLEASE SIGN AND RETURN THEM ON MONDAY.  I don't want there to be any surprises when it comes time for report cards.  Staying on top of students'  homework assignments is a parent responsibility as much as it is mine.
