Reading Street

   This week we read Ms. Bindergarten takes a field trip with Kindergarten and talked about places in a community as well as community helpers. We talked about fire fighters, mail carriers, librarians, and lots more! Ask your child to name some community helpers.

Words we read: the, little

Vocabulary: fire station, post office, library, bakery, park, chaperone

Math

  This week we started combining the kindergartens for math. Mr. Willard teaches one differentiated group and I teach the other. The students have done a great job switching between classrooms and follwing instructions from different teachers. 

Some skills every child should work on:              recognizing numbers 0 - 10                   counting 1 - 30 without skipping             understanding more and less

Science

   We just received our Science Kit called Animals 2x2. In this kit we will compare animals to find similarities and differences. The animals will be mailed to us shortly and include fish, worms, snails, and isopods.
