Hello Kindergarten A and friends!
Read below to find out all that we have been learning about in Kindergarten this week. Don't forget that our Mountain Day Trip is this Wednesday 10/3! Remind your child to wear comfortable outdoor clothes and sneakers that day. It's our first trip and we are super excited!
This week we read Ms. Bindergarten takes a field trip with Kindergarten and talked about places in a community as well as community helpers. We talked about fire fighters, mail carriers, librarians, and lots more! Ask your child to name some community helpers.
Words we read: the, little
Vocabulary: fire station, post office, library, bakery, park, chaperone
This week we started combining the kindergartens for math. Mr. Willard teaches one differentiated group and I teach the other. The students have done a great job switching between classrooms and follwing instructions from different teachers.
Some skills every child should work on: recognizing numbers 0 - 10 counting 1 - 30 without skipping understanding more and less
We just received our Science Kit called Animals 2x2. In this kit we will compare animals to find similarities and differences. The animals will be mailed to us shortly and include fish, worms, snails, and isopods.
