School Cancellation
In the event of a weather-related or other emergency, Highlander officials will do their best to make timely decisions about school closings, delayed openings, or early dismissals. Any closings or delays will be announced on TV Channels 6, 10, and 12.
Parents must take responsibility for making
- arrangements for their children in the event that no one is home when a child arrives
- certain that their children understand these arrangements.
Parents will be asked to fill out a School Cancellation/Early Dismissal Card for weather-related situations. Please note that we will follow your instruction on the card and that we will only contact kindergarten, 1st grade, and 2nd grade families.
