SnapEd works with all Highlander students during lunch times to encourage healthy eating choices. They bring educational materials to engage the students in meaningful conversations about nutrition. The folks from SnapEd also work with the 5th grade class every year in the Spring. They use hands-on activities to get the students actively learning about nutrition. Lastly, we have some after-school parent activities, the students and the families learn about smart choices when it comes to family meals, low cost, high nutrition options.
